How to use Free SiCECA Services

Free SiCECA Service Agreement

Membership registration 

Prior to start using Free SiCECA Services, you need registration of the free membership of Free SiCECA Services. 

1. Click ">>>ENTER" below the menu of "Free SiCECA Services" at the left side of web frame.
    Then the following user authentication screen is came out.

2. Click "User registration"
    
3. A screen to input your profile is displayed.

• Enter your preferred "User name" (login ID) and "pass word".
  If the "User name" you entered is already in use, you are prompted to try another user name.
• Select your profile
• Enter your mail address
  This mail address is important. The computational result of the SiCECA service is sent to this mail address. 
  You can't have multiple user names with the same mail address. So if the "mail address" you entered is already in use, you are warned to use another mail address.
  
4. Click "Save" to save your profile data. 

Now, you completed the registration of membership, and you are ready to use Free SiCECA Services.

Log in

1. Click ">>>ENTER" below the menu of "Free SiCECA Services" at the left side of web page.

2. Enter your "User name" and "Password", click "Login" button.
   
3. Your main menu as the following figure is displayed. 
   The screen is vertically divided into two areas. The upper area is for you to specify a job to execute, and the lower area shows a list of your job history.

• "SICECAUSER" is actually displayed your username.
• To logout from Free SiCECA Services, click "Logout". 
• To change your profile, click "Edit profile"

Execution of a job

1.  In the text box below "Voice file(wav)", specify a location of voice file which you want to get the value of brain activity level. You can use "Browse" button to make the selection easy.
   • Note that a voice file should be less than 15 seconds long for Free SiCECA, and the audio format should be PCM, 48.0KHz, 16bits, monaural, and WAV format.
2. Input any comment message you like to identify the job in the text box at the right of "Comment:".
   
3. Click "Submit job" to initiate uploading the voice file. It takes a while until the completion of the upload depending on the file size and your network speed.
   
4. When the uploading is completed, the upper area of screen is automatically changed to the one like following figure, and the SiCECA execution is initiated.

5. Click "Back to the main menu" to return to your main menu. Then you can enter the next job.

Job history list

The jobs you submitted are listed at the lower area of screen. This job history list is not updated automatically, so click "show the current" button to see the most current status of your jobs.

The lowest row shows the information and the status of the batch job you have submitted at the last time. 

Status
The column value of "Status" is "Processing" when your submitted job is in process. It is "Complete" when the execution of the job completes.

Date and Time
"Date" and "Time" are the date and the time when the process was started. 

Comment
"Comment" is the one you have inputted as a comment message.

Length (Sec.)
 "Length (Sec.)" indicates the length of voice file in second.

Activity level
 The column of "Activity level" shows the value of brain activity level, "CEM10s whole value", computed by SiCECA. This value is zero until SiCECA computation is completed. After a while, depending on the size of the voice file, when "Show the current" is clicked, "Status" is changed to "Completed". It indicates the job is completed. Then the column value of "Activity level" is changed from zero to the "CEM10s whole value" computed by SiCECA.

The report sent by e-mail 

The value of brain activity level is shown in the job history list as above. Moreover the detail result of the computation is sent you to the mail address where you registered in your profile. Since the result is sent you by e-mail, you may log off the SiCECA web after submitting a job. The following figure shows an example of mail.

In this example, the computational result value of "440" is reported in the mail.

Also there is a "result.csv" file attached. this is a csv formatted and the detail report of SiCECA computational result. The result file shows the whole values of CEM and changes of CEM values in every second. The following figure is an example of the result file. Columns show the value of 1s, 10s, 100s, 1h, 10h, and 100h of CEM. However we will not explain in detail about what theses 1, 10, 100, s, and h mean, the most important column is the CEM10s. The second row "WHOLE" means that the value is computed using the whole signal data of the voice file. The third column to the lowest column shows values computed from each one second period of signal data of the voice file. So the third column "1" shows the value computed by using the first one second period of signal data of the voice file. Then the fourth column "2" shows the value computed from one second signal data in range of one to two second. And so on.

You can use MS EXCEL to read the file. Or again you can use SiCECA AID to read the file and draw graphs.

More than Free SiCECA Services, we also provide SiCECA Premium Services. 
SiCECA Premium Services has no limitation on the length (seconds) of the voice data and the number of jobs in a day. The server used for SiCECA Premium Services  is the best suited server for SiCECA, Cray MTA-2, the state-of-art multithreaded architecture system. it can handle so large quantity of data in efficient way. 
For SiCECA Premium Services, you need another registration for the membership. You can't use the membership login ID of Free SiCECA Services for SiCECA Premium Services. For the registration and price plan of SiCECA Premium Services, please contact SiCECA.org at info@siceca.org.
